Ethical Companies

Ford Motor Company is one of the most ethical companies in the world. The Ethisphere Institute (E.I.) is an organization that analysis companies around the world and it awards the companies being the most ethical companies. The E.I. looks at the company's social responsibility, corporate governance, and business practices. There is a list of what the E.I. looks for in a company below:
-A review of each company's codes of ethics, litigation and regulatory infraction history

-An evaluation of investment in innovation and sustainable business practices

-A look into activities designed to improve corporate citizenship

-Input through nominations from senior executives, industry peers, suppliers and customers

I'm glad that the E.I. doesn't just look at the code of ethics but basically the whole company in regards to how the company handles itself and what others think about Ford Motor Company. I think that Ford should have a system where they look at the Dealerships on their business practices. I would like to see Ford doing reviews of each of the dealerships and any customer complaints. Also, Ford should have a system that allows dealerships to come up with their own ethical standards. Ford then reviews the ethical standards and have a yearly review of how the dealership is going by its own ethical standards. It should have a copy and paste method from the E.I. to its dealership maybe make some changes to it so that it can better fit dealerships.

2002 Ford Focus' MPG

My 2002 Ford Focus received 30.63... MPG this past week I was only going between 55-60 MPH on the highway which was mostly my travel time. I was really excited about it because I was under the impression that it was only going 25 MPGs or lower. The next time that I go on a trip I'm going to see how much I would get out of it. I'm hopping that I would receive about 35 or more MPGs. I'm going to clean out my car and see if I could get a couple more MPGs, with the exception of having to mow a lawn.

This week I'm going to try to go lean on my car (without taking things off), I'm only going to take what I only need for the day and also I'm not going to sit in my car in line at McDonald's.

I hope that all of this writing that I've done about Fords and MPGs would get you to think how your driving. Driving a car cost money and the more you save the better you'll be able to enjoy life. Life is a wonderful gift from our Creator, so have an amazing weekend!

Gas Mileage

How to get the best gas mileage for your vehicle.

First and Easy Step!
DON'T go over 60 MPH. I know it is that simple but if you go between 50-60 miles per hour you'll get the best MPG that your car can get! Starting on tomorrow (Sunday 5/6/2012) I'm going to fill my tank and see how many miles I'll get by only going up to 55 MPH. I took a trip couple of weeks ago to Wisconsin and I was going between 55-60 MPH and I was quite impress with my Ford Focus 2002, I think I was pushing 25 MPG, for an older car like a Focus 2002 then yes! I think this is the most important step to take in order to get the best gas mileage in your car.

Second Step:
Don't accelerate too fast meaning don't "Floor it" this causes your car to push out more gas than it would normally do if you slowly accelerate. When ever I accelerate too fast I usually see my gas gauge go down especially when I'm needing to go to a place that takes about 15 minutes away under good road conditions and I'm ten minutes from my appointment. This usually happens when I have an appointment!

Third Step:
When sitting in traffic don't go "bumper to bumper" traffic. This usually causes your car to go fast and slow down over and over. You might want to let your car go at a crawling pace to let about a good 50+ feet from the car in front of you so you can let your car crawl. When things start to pick up don't assume that it is going to be in the up and up in regards to speed. If the average speed is going from 15 MPH to 40 MPH then you'll want your car going about 30-35 MPH so this will let your car not have to stop suddenly. An easy way to see if your car is going slower than other cars is just look outside. Of course you don't want to go too slow that you'll might get a ticket. In the state of MN the speed limit is usually between 55 to 65 MPH and the minimum is 40 MPH.

Now there is other ways to go about getting the best gas mileage. You strip off everything in your car that adds weight. Now that is a little extreme but for me I'm not able to get the absolute best gas mileage for my car because I have a Lawn Care business and be needing to have my lawn care equipment in my car.

Ford has step up quite a bit in regards to the gas mileage of their vehicles. They have a lot of their vehicles having more than 30 MPG.

Even though you might not drive a Ford but this is just a few simple tricks of getting your car having the best gas mileage.

What is better than having great gas mileage is having Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Go to http://www.answersingenesis.org/ for answers about life and how you can take part of the Joy knowing Jesus!

What is your favorite Ford car? (Current or Past)

My favorite is the Shelby GT 500 or F-150 Raptor. I can't quite decide because the Shelby is very sleek and fast but the Raptor is meant to be off road and get it very dirty.

I currently have a Ford Focus 2002 and it is nice and basic, there is a cassette tape player in it, lol. That is the beginning to the end of cassette tape players in cars. Of course you could have a cassette tape be installed into the system at a fee, though! Now it is CD players that dominate the realm of music being played in cars with the exception of the radio. With Sync My Touch Ford your able to have WIFI capabilities (I'm not sure if it is from your phone or . Ford Motor is really on the fore front with the use of technology compared with the other American Auto Companies. I think it is going to be Ford Vs. Toyota in regards to the use of technology with the cars. I'm really excited with the whole new sync system that came out a couple of years ago!

Talking about Ford Motor Company and its products is great but what I'm even more excited to talk about is Jesus and how he changed my life! My two favorite Bible verses are Genesis 1:1 - "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." and John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (Both verses came from the ESV Bible Cell Phone App).
